What is an operator?\n\nAn **operator** is the human accountable for an agent's output. Not the engineer who built it. Not the executive who bought it. The person whose name is on the work.\n\n## Three duties\n- **Read** what the agent did, in enough detail to defend it.\n- **Intervene** when the output drifts from intent.\n- **Reverse** when intervention is too late.\n\n## Why it matters\nAgentic systems do not remove judgement — they relocate it. The operator is where judgement now lives.
